HR Excellence in Research
Since 2013, IIMCB has held the HR Excellence in Research Award. This prestigious distinction confirms that the Institute is an attractive place to work and pursue a scientific career. It also demonstrates our commitment to fair and transparent recruitment procedures as well as high standards in team management.

Gender equality
In 2021, we introduced the Gender Equality Plan for 2022–2025.. Our objectives include:
- Raising awareness of the importance of equality and fostering positive attitudes toward diversity in work and education.
- Supporting women’s career development.
- Ensuring equal opportunities in recruitment processes.
- Facilitating the reconciliation of professional and family life.
- Maintaining gender balance in committees, councils, and other bodies.
The equality plan incorporates the principles set out in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers – one of the key European policy documents aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of working conditions and career development for researchers in Europe.
The implementation of the plan is overseen by a dedicated working group.
Recruitment
We organize open, transparent, and merit-based calls —this is one of the fundamental principles of the Institute’s operations.
- Job advertisements are published in English.
- Our job offers can be found on the IIMCB website, EURAXESS, and other international platforms.
- We inform candidates about the status of their applications.
- At every stage of the recruitment process, we involve a recruitment committee.
- We recruit regardless of age, gender, culture, race, or disability.
- We value people for their scientific excellence, creativity, mobility, potential for further development, and independence.
